@example blocks. I would switch to texi2html given the chance, but
this is for the manual I am writing which hooks into the standard
(and current) Automake.
I think you can tell Automake to use any program you want for "makeinfo"
via envvars MAKEINFO, MAKEINFOHTML, etc.
Inside the <pre> element the ``quotation'' marks have not been
formatted properly.
Sorry, I don't have an answer offhand (besides Ben's). I think this
is the correct default, but I don't think we ever created options to use
fancy quotes instead. I also don't think this is going to seriously
impair anyone's understanding of the manual :).
