    In section 9.1.6 of the texinfo manual (the @verb command)
    the word "these" and the character sequences in the example
    and its output do not seem to match.

    Also, it seems to me that the period after @b should not be there,
    as it is the delimiter.

No, that's ok.  It's there to show that the delimiter character can in
fact be used in the verb argument (except at the beginning or end,
naturally).  I recently added another couple sentences about that.
