Hi,

    the way the code is places the null character too
    early if binding->start is not 0.

Thanks for the report and patch.  Can you give a way (info file,
specific search to run) to observe the failure, whatever it is?

(That is, I'm guessing you found this by seeing a failure in an actual
search, not just pure deduction from reading the source ...)
