Follow-up Comment #1:
hi vincent - as with many packages, you need to run ./autogen.sh rather than a
bare "autoreconf". that is what creates Makefile.tres among many other files.
i don't want to add them to the repository since they are created by the
normal configure process.
if this isn't the problem, let me know.
