Follow-up Comment #4:
we added a little text to the texinfo manual about this issue. we can't do
anything about the emacs info viewer. gavin has a plan for allowing arbitrary
characters in node names, but it needs more discussion and probably won't be
in the next release (whenever that may be).
i don't think there's anything more to do here on the texinfo side. feel free
to repost if i'm wrong.
