Then point Firefox at either (appropriately adjusted):
file:///tmp/kawa-2.1.9/doc/OEBPS/index.xhtml?sidebar
or:
file:///tmp/kawa-2.1.9/doc/OEBPS/with-frames.html
The former uses an iframe; the latter old-fashioned framesets.
The reason for the awkward URLs is because we don't want the
JavaScript-generated sidebar when running in an ereader, since they
generate their own sidebar. So we need to have some way to distinguish
"add the sidebar" from "don't add the sidebar".
A possible better solution might be to add an "index.html" which just
forwards to "index.xhtml?sidebar". I haven't explored that idea.
Or we can generate the epub so it has a different starting page
from either index.html or index.xhtml.
