Purpose of INLINE_INSERTCOPYING variable

I would like to remove the code for the INLINE_INSERTCOPYING variable
in texi2any, as it doesn't seem to be used anywhere, and it seems to me
to be unnecessary.  I thought I should write to this list in case 
someone thought it was necessary or useful.  As far as I can tell,
the use of this variable makes any difference to someone using texi2any.

I thought the variable might have come from texi2html so I looked at the 
newest revision of its source code (under the texi2html subdirectory of 
Texinfo's SVN repository).  It was possibly used for Info and DocBook 
output.  However, the current texi2any code doesn't use it for Info and 
DocBook output.
