Problem with internationalisation in texi2any

I installed texinfo from source, I am at revision 7997.

Here is the output of texi2any --version:

LaTeX2e : un manuel de référence officieux. Ce document est un manuel de référence officieux pour LaTeX2e, un système de préparation de document, dans sa version « Août 2017 ».

it was compiled with texi2any and the table of content title is incorrectly localized (that should be « Table des matières » as you well know).

When I compile to PDF the localisation is OK, and anyway I had not this problem before and I don't think that I changed anything in the document header defining the document language.
