texinfo-6.8 regression on gmp: "bad argument to @headings: single"

Hi texinfo maintainers!

Today I tried to update texinfo from 6.7 to 6.8 and noticed that
gmp's info files fail to build against it:


    $ git clone https://github.com/telmich/gpm.git

The error message is a bit confusing. Is it a texinfo's regression?
or @headings is used in wrong context?
