Hi Gavin,
This time, I did not test manually, but instead set up a automated build
recipe for several platforms [1]:
- Ubuntu GNU/Linux 22.04
- CentOS GNU/Linux 7
- Alpine Linux
- macOS 11, 12, 13 (all x86_64)
- macOS 14 (arm64)
- FreeBSD 14.0
- NetBSD 10.0
- OpenBSD 7.5
- Solaris 11.4
- Solaris 11 OmniOS
- Cygwin 3.3.6 (32 bit) and 3.5.3 (64 bit)
- mingw (32 bit and 64 bit)
Summarizing the results from [2]:
- On OpenBSD 7.5, there is a build failure:
Can't locate Texinfo/Commands.pm in @INC
For details, see the 'logs-openbsd' download from [2].
- On Cygwin and mingw, there are many test failures, some of which
look like CR-LF / LF mismatches.
- I have disabled the MSVC build, because of compilation errors
(missing 'struct timeval') that could be fixed by using more modules
from Gnulib.
If you want to trigger new test runs, possibly with uncommitted patches,
or continue maintaining this repository for CI, I can give you access
to it.
Bruno
