"Licklick jumped out the window!
When all I had was a few teensy squares and lots of great ideas.
They're not due 'til next week.
Licklick likes to swim, it turns out, but then he gets all fuzzy!
I have squares and triangles laying on the floor, big tufts and billows of fabric scattered all over. So I'm "live blogging" Blogher for you, but I'm not live blogging it. More dear to my heart than a cure for breast cancer: spreading quilting amongst we youngish women. I had leftover Noro Silk Garden in "reds" from Jenny's blanket, and I just cast on and started cabling. We've taken our car off the road.

They were really excited when I gave them an old tennis ball to play with. The question is, what on earth was this doing above London?
All that was left to do: make a quilt.
Oh yes, and I had money burning a hole in the bottom of my hand-knitted purse, and the babies had sitting.

What to do with all those precious perfect scraps, but quilt them? She thinks on her feet! It's out of Noro Silk Garden, and I adore the pattern, which I designed. When I'm knitting these strips I never want to stop, I think I'll always have one of these wraps in progress.
I couldn't possibly tell you how it was done other than "bottom up" and I used the mitten trick of holding stitches "blank" with scrap yarn for the tongue. I saw this aircraft flying high above Finsbury park as I frolicked and freaked around with my young neices and nephews.
Jonathan came home a few days later. But most of all I feel super lucky to have gotten interested in the whole blogging thing when I did.
