Hi,

for the records:
I have now committed the bug fix for the GUID mismatch between
main GPT and backup GPT.

http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~libburnia-team/libisofs/scdbackup/revision/1134/libisofs/system_area.c

About the problem with padding and fdisk, i am still undecided.

The main use case for partition editing is when the ISO image is
stored on disk-like device. E.g. and USB stick or memory card.

But if you copy an ISO image to a USB stick, there will probably
remain some unused blocks after the end of the copied data.
This could only be avoided by creating an ISO image that fits
exactly on the particular storage device.
So even if the ISO image really ends by the backup GPT, the
fdisk complaints will appear as soon as it is on a storage device
and not in a file of the disk filesystem.

A comprehensive automatic solution seems not to exist.

Have a nice day :)

Thomas
