Hi Thomas,

thanks for the reply. It is used in pungi (https://pagure.io/pungi) - the tool for creating Fedora composes. We are currently planning to replace genisoimage with xorrisofs. The -translation-table option is passed here <https://pagure.io/pungi/blob/master/f/pungi/wrappers/iso.py#_182>, but since it is used together with -J and -joliet-long, I think it is redundant.

Currently not.

Can you describe the use case which creates the need for a TRANS.TBL file ?
Which software can interpret it ?
