I had the same problem...
You have to install the "commoncpp2" - A GNU package for creating
portable C++ programs... You can find it here:
http://www.gnu.org/software/commonc++/commonc++.html

I have built some RPMS (for commoncpp2 and ccrtp) for RH8.0... If you
want i can send it ....
