Thanks for fixing my breakages.  I really should remember to run
"make spotless" and rebuild as a matter of course before posting patches.

Anyway, I've gone ahead and pushed your patch.  I noticed the copyright
year in NEWS wasn't up-to-date and neither was the banner, so I've also
updated that.

AFAIK the only bug we have open is #916; lolevel-tests fails on
Linux/MacPPC.
