Gah, the absence of reply-to munging gets me once again, and I sent this
to just Peter.

The Ugarit snapshot finished OK! That's a soak test of the u8vector GC
and FFI at least :-)

Here's what I've got so far:

OS Hardware C compiler Status
Linux x86 GCC 4.6.3 OK
Linux x86 GCC 4.7.1 OK
Linux x86 clang 3.0 OK [1]
Linux x86-64 GCC 4.4.5 OK
Linux PPC GCC 4.4.5 make check fails (#916)
Linux PPC GCC 4.7.1 OK [2]
Cygwin x86 GCC 4.3.4 make check fails [3]

I can add to that:

   NetBSD x86 GCC 4.5.3(?) OK
   NetBSD x86-64 GCC 4.1.3 OK
   NetBSD PPC GCC 4.1.3 OK

And I can declare:

Linux x86-64 GCC 4.7.0 OK

make check is OK, and Ugarit has installed and is running a snapshot of
my laptop as we speak.
