[cp-patches] Fix StringBuilder/StringBuffer in SimpleDateFormat

Don't know why I used StringBuilder in the first place in SimpleDateFormat
(probably because we just added it to HEAD), but I'm committing the attached
patch which reverts it to StringBuffer and syncs us with libgcj.
