        * acgeneral.m4 (_AC_INIT_PREPARE): Move the
        _AC_INIT_PREPARE_ENVIRONMENT invocation to...
        (_AC_INIT_DEFAULTS): here,  so that we keep the same known
        environment for more of the script.
