Not so fast please.
Look at the patch:
* @deprecated <code>InputStreamReader</code> is the preferred way to read
* local encodings
* @XXX This implementation does not localize, yet.

See, it already had a @deprecated tag. So what is going on here? Is a
@deprecated with extra explanation wrong? Is the @deprecation not getting into
the class file? Or is japi not parsing the class file correctly?
I am reopening this till we have time to find this out.

The gcj -C compiler did not emit deprication attributes in class files. This
has been fixed by Tom.
