Link is not intended for staging areas; it should only be used for
build dirs. It always copies the source (and any includes) into the
Linked dir. You want to use Install to create your staging area.
Cons would like you to work like this:
Source -------> Build --------> Export
Link Install

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
