RE: Hardlinks on win32/NTFS combo causes permissions to be modifi ed?

Yes, I've seen this problem (read-only files in the source directory tree
being set read-write).  It screws up our build tool something fierce, as our
source-control tool refuses to overwrite writable files.  We've switched to
using copies instead of hard links.
