Alpharetta, GA (PRWEB) July 11, 2007--Jackson Healthcare Solutions has named C.L. ("Mike") Wagner to the newly created position of corporate general counsel. Wagner will serve as the primary legal representative and advisor for the Jackson Healthcare Solutions (JHS) family of companies (http://www.jacksonhealthcare.com/counsel).

Wagner brings close to 40 years of corporate legal experience to JHS. He spent 19 years with the international law firm of Hunton & Williams LLP, where he became managing partner of the Atlanta office. In 2005 Wagner served as vice chairman and general counsel, Lummus Corporation, and general counsel, Alimenta (U.S.A.), Inc.
Before joining Hunton & Williams, Wagner was a partner in the law firm of Hansell & Post.
A member of the State Bar of Georgia and former chairman of its Tax Section, Wagner is included in the 13th edition of The Best Lawyers in America, the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession. For the past three years he has been included in Atlanta Magazine's list of "Georgia's Super Lawyers." In addition to serving on several corporate boards, Wagner was an Advisory Board member for the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and vice chairman of the Board of Trustees, Global Health Action, Inc. He is a frequent business and legal seminar speaker on business law topics including 'distressed loan workouts.'
A resident of Alpharetta, Ga., Wagner earned a bachelors degree in history from Emory University in Atlanta, and a juris doctorate degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va., where he was managing editor of Virginia Law Review.
