I don't know if this will be helpful to you, but there is a
dazuko-2.3.6
version for openSUSE 11.0 available on

This version includes and uses the redirfs (www.redirfs.org) module.
Thanx for trying to help. I'm running into a couple of problems I
had with other versions. Here's my console session:

As you can see, the install complains of unsatisfied symbols.
Hmm, I added the
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:andavis/openSUSE_11.0
repository then installed dazuko-2.3.6 and dazuko-kmp-pae-2.3.6
without any warnings about unresolved symbols.
<http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:andavis/openSUSE_11.0>
The dazuko-kmp 2.3.4.4 packages from the main openSuSE repo had
those same unknown symbols on trying to modprobe dazuko (since
redirfs won't load, dazuko won't load). Here, tho', dazuko
modprobes, but gets the following syslog errors when antivir starts,
similar to when I tried to compile dazuko 2.3.6-pre2 with redirfs
0.3 myself:

I have heard from another person about this problem ( see
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=401920 ). It appears
that there is some change in the dazuko 2.3.6 interface which is
causing problems for AntiVir. As noted in the bug, this version of
dazuko does seem to work fine with clamav. Also, I have run the
dazuko tests on 2.3.6 and those seem to work fine as well.
So I think the main question is whether Avira AntiVir supports dazuko
2.3.6 with redirfs. My understanding is that Avira has done some
testing w/ dazuko 2.3.6 but I don't know their official position on
it. I believe Avira is also looking at supporting dazukoFS so it may
be that they decide to concentrate their testing efforts there
instead of on dazuko-2.3.6. Have you contacted Avira about whether
they support dazuko-2.3.6?
In the meantime, I will download antivir and duplicate this problem
to see if I can tell what is happening.
Here is what I did:
1) Installed openSUSE-11.0.
2) Used YaST2->"Software Repositories" to add
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:andavis/openSUSE_11.0
3) Used YaST2->"Software Management" to install dazuko-2.3.6 and
dazuko 2.3.6-kmp-pae
4) Started dazuko with "/etc/init.d/boot.dazuko start"
5) lsmod shows the dazuko and redirfs modules are loaded
6) Downloaded AntiVir personal
7) Installed AntiVir personal using the its install script
8) The installation gave three options for avguard: 1) have avguard
load dazuko, 2) have avguard assume dazuko is already loaded, 3) don't
install avguard. I selected option 2.
9) The installation proceeded w/o errors and antivir and avguard
started.
10) /etc/init.d/avguard status shows that it is running.
Please let me know how this differs from your configuration. Did you
select to have avguard load dazuko?
