No symbol ... in current context

Hello,

I have DDD 3.3 (i386-suse-linux), and I'm having trouble displaying the 
values of variables are that are declared as private members in a class. 
Actually, I am unable to print any values of variables that are not in the 
function i'm in. Is this a limitation of ddd itself? Is there a way around 
this????
