Hi,
Your windowmanager could well be stealing the keys. KDE3 does this for some
reason, and I have never bothered to sort out why as I changed to fvwm +
fvwmThemes, with rox as desktop manager. Much smaller and much more
configurable, and now my F keys work fine. Change the wm key mappings or
change your wm, maybe.
