I'm really glad to hear that DDD isn't abandoned! Is there a git repository or something like that for GTK port? I'd like to test it, and if I have time (and more importantly, knowledge), maybe contribute to it.

I doubt that there is a fix except for rewrite of its GUI. It is the only Motif application that I'm still using and it is increasingly harder to keep it running well on newer distributions. I tried recompiling, so the source is not out of sync with the binary.
