I found rm ~/.ddd/init works.

I even tracked down the specific line in init that causes the problem, but i forgot what it was.

When I opened my DDD I saw a hourglass pointer. I could not post the
break-point or anything else. After that I opened it again by typing
'sudo ddd name_of_file' and it opened my DDD again. I did not see a
hourglass pointer again, but it still could not do anything in it. I
also reinstalled it twice, but it is still the same.
