Regarding configure failure (ddd-3.3.12)

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am trying to build ddd from source on CentOS 6.5, and i am getting following errors:

I tried installing openmotif on my system , but i am getting :

Though Lesstif should be marked as replacing openmotif ,even then this error occurs. So i tried disabling openmotif support by using --without-motif, now i get:

configure: error: DDD requires Motif to compile and run.
                  Please do not use the configure option '--without-motif'.

Though i downloaded & compiled openmotif 2.3.3 at custom path &  using --with-motif-libraries to openmotif path , the configure succeeded . I fear there might be some serious conflicts & packages depending on lesstiff might break if i include this library openmotif in LD_LIBRARY_PATH/install it on standard path.

I browsed your website & it says requirements are :
gcc V3.0 or higher & LessTif v0.89 or higher.

• I have lesstiff-0.95 then why openmotif is needed ?
• Can you suggest any workaround to build DDD on my system?

Any help/hint in this regard will be very fruitful to me.
