In the bad old days, telnet, rlogin, rsh, etc. were just procs. eg:

Wed Nov  2 08:49:06 1994  Doug Evans  <address@hidden>

        * lib/remote.exp (telnet): Use -gl for shell prompt pattern.

So that's where these tests come from.  I just removed all of that
cruft from the testcase.  If we want to, we can write new tests. ;-)
