Hi all:

Last released version of dejagnu is 1.6.2 which is released on
2018-11, according to the release history the period is 1 release / ~1
year.

So I would like to know if there is any schedule on release 1.6.3?

Thanks :)

I am working on it. The previous maintainer quietly took an "indefinite break" in late 2019, then quietly left the project some months later and the senior maintainer (who was originally planning to issue 1.6.3 to show me how) now has very limited time available, so I will have to make 1.6.3 happen. I admit a bit of nervousness in picking up such a long-running project like this.

Since it seems that 1.6.3 will be the first release to go out over my signature, I want to be sure to have the proverbial ducks in a row and am currently chasing the last of the administrative "ducks" for 1.6.3. If all goes well, I hope to have a first release candidate out later this month. If it works well, 1.6.3 should follow and development towards 1.6.4 will resume.
