Well, the first part of the problem appears to be that it doesn't cope with
Breves - the events.txt generated has 

log = -1

in the field which should contain the duration.

but even a simple four quarter note score cannot find positions:
events.txt is:

0       tempo   30000
0       note    4       250     point-and-click 9 21    69
250     note    4       250     point-and-click 13 21   74
500     note    4       250     point-and-click 17 21   77
750     note    4       250     point-and-click 21 21   81

and warnings are issued from svgview.c:

Denemo - WARNING : Failed to find a position in events.txt for Note-21-9
                   
Denemo - WARNING : Failed to find a position in events.txt for Note-21-13
