I hope this works! This is the first time i am posting at a discussion group
before.
(Wiping the sweat from my ears. :)

Hi Matt!

This is Mike Kennedy from CANADA! :) VA3TEC. We met at DCC2002. I
was the guy interested in working on a USB 2.0 interface.
Well I did some digging. And found a USB 2.0 LSI from NEC that I
        think will do the job.
One in particular is the uPD720122. I have called NEC because they
        have a development kit avaiable.
But they want you to sing a NDA. Right now where I work. I do not
think I can sign a NDA for a amateur radio project.
Matt: can you? I will be researching other chipset's. Also I would
like to help out with the USB design stage.
I am very serious in getting started.

        Hope this helps.

Newbie! Mike Kennedy

Subject: [Discuss-gnuradio] SDR Hardware

I'm putting together a team of people to do some cool SDR hardware, and I
have
one good person so far.

It's not all finalized yet, but here are the basics:

   - USB 2.0 interface
   - minimum 4 analog I/O's
   - up to 20 MS/s
   - IF/BB analog only, build your own transverter for whatever frequency
you
want

If you are interested in participating, we are looking for people with any
of
the following capabilites --

   - USB designs
   - Xilinx Spartan 2 FPGA
   - Linux kernel drivers
   - 8051 firmware coding
   - Board layout (esp. if you have your own CAD tools)

Living in the bay area or Colorado would be nice, but is not necessary.

Let me know if you are interested. Serious people only...

Matt
