[Discuss-gnuradio] Parallel Processing

Just wondering about the performance of GNURadio in a box with more than 
one processor.

I've seen an estimate of 5+GHz noised around as the approximate processing 
power required to process HDTV signals in real time. Now if I had the 
opportunity to spend a little money on a new system, how worthwhile would 
it be for me to invest in a box with say, dual 2.4 GHz processors? Will the 
software make good use of the parallel processors, or will everything be 
processed on one chip leaving the other pretty much idle?

If anyone has any theories or experience with this sort of setup, please 
let me know
