Not silly at all. I updated the http://comsec.com/wiki?CvsAccess
page to reflect the current reality.
--enable-maintainer-mode enables dependency checking between Makefile.am,
Makefile.in and Makefile. Without it you're screwed. With it, it
means that if you change a Makefile.am the right thing happens.
