[Discuss-gnuradio] Getting started

Hello, all.
  I'm trying to get started with GnuRadio, using the btaudio module -- 
after long being interested, I finally have a beefy machine that runs 
linux (nearly) full time.  However, I can't find any decent 
getting-started information.  Using Documentation/sound/oss/btaudio 
gives me enough info is capture audio data, and scp it across to my 
desktop.  (The bt card is currently in a different machine.  I'd prefer 
to move data across the network (100FDX), but if that's not possible, I 
may move it.)
  It seems, however, that all the getting-started style information I 
can find on the wiki is either outdated or woefully incomplete -- it 
tells me to run adc3_fft.  I cannot find this file on any of the 
tarballs linked to from http://comsec.com/wiki?GnuRadio2.X.  When, after 
some googling about, I do find it.  I cannot, however, compile it, given 
the large number of headers that it requires that I cannot find -- most 
of which seem to be Gr*.h, and thus should reasonably be in one of the 
gr-* or gnuradio-* tarballs, but alas, I have no such luck.
  It would be /wonderful/ if someone could point me at current 
documentation.  I'd like to think of myself as a half-decent hacker, and 
given an introduction, I suspect I could get on my own two feet fairly 
quickly, but I'm not sure where to get started.

Is there really no way to get a simple fft display without writing code 
to do it myself?
