[Discuss-gnuradio] Need help to install GNURadio on Gentoo

   I’m not an advanced Linux user and I’m afraid to get some troubling trying to install the GNU Radio as some people are having. I have just installed the Gentoo 2005.0 Linux distribution, with Gentoo-2.6.11-r3 Kernel version, on my computer. I still haven’t installed any package. I would like to know if some one who has succeed to install the GNU Radio in this distribution could give some help.

 

Should I get the gcc-3.4.3, or can I compile everything with gcc-3.3.5 without worried about?

What wxpython version should I get? I heard that the 2.6 trigger some trouble.

What is it best option to install the pre-requisites for GNU Radio using “emerge” (Gentoo tool for install package) or download all the source from the web and compile it myself?

 

If someone could give me a step by step I would be very thankful.
