Thanks Marcus for the information.
However, I did not understand at which point I should do that change.
Should I use gr_head so each file contains exact amount of samples? Is there an example that I can refer to?

Hi,

I just wonder if there is a method built in GNURadio that will allow me to create incremental files (1.dat, 2 dat ...) instead of a huge file in continuous operation.

I did implement a similar structure by taking the data in buffers and creating files afterwards. However I would like to know if there are other ways of doing this (without dropping samples or stopping the graph).

Thanks in advance
Burak

You can change the output filename of the file sink at runtime.
