Looking forward to it! What will generally be the agenda for the New Developers’ Day? Do you see a role for people who have been hacking at GR for a while, or is it specifically catered
to new users? I’m trying to debate whether to go the extra day or not, and I bet I’m not the only one who is curious. :) Sean From: discuss-gnuradio-bounces+address@hidden [mailto:discuss-gnuradio-bounces+address@hidden
On Behalf Of John Malsbury Greetings,
Date: September 15-19, 2014 Location: The District Architecture Center in Washington, DC (USA) – an interesting, modern event facility. Unlike previous conference values, we will be renting out
an entire floor and will have access to several divided spaces that will allow us to add new components to the conference. Attendance: We are expecting to have somewhere between 120 and 150 attendees. A great mix of new users, experienced developers, students, professors, engineers and researchers.
This is the perfect mix for everyone to share their experiences with GNU Radio, learn more about it, and help build the future of SDR. New Components: Hacker/demo space, poster session, ‘New Developers Day’ to attract new/beginning users, an open lounge for people to socialize and mingle, and daily working groups. For more information, and links to the registration page, please see the
GNU Radio Conference Website. We will be posting a preliminary agenda, and more details about the facility soon.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone about the
Call for Presentations, which is open until March 31. We've seen some great submissions up to this point, and look forward to receiving more! Best Regards, John Malsbury |
