got a bit of worries about this one:

Which basically means that the Volk submodule isn't in the state the
main module's branch expects it to be, and that's exactly what's going
wrong there.
Best guess: git `submodule update` should fix this. Afterwards, `git
status` should not contain any info about the submodule containing any
changes.
