Also, when dealing with an N-input 1-output thing, the "Multiply by
matrix" block with a "Matrix" of "( (1, 0, 0 ,0), )" does that. (place
the 1 to select the input).

So, worst case as an instant remedy, you could mix and match your own
Valve from "Copy"s and "Multiply by Matrix"es.

You would also need to vectorize any groups of streams that you care about the sample alignment of (a trick I've used for stereo audio), and tolerate runs of zeroes or dropped samples because you can't change parameters of the matrix and the copy in a sample-aligned way.
