Your compile problem seems to come from a missing tiff library. I can
not tell if it is just missing on the linker line, or not installed on
you computer. If the later is the case, just install it and the compile
should work.

You also should pay some attention to the font_cache warning. This looks
like there is never a valid font cache for GNUstep. Otherwise the
font_cache program would just run once. This is either caused by missing
directories or wrong privileges on them (look for something like
~GNUstep/Library/Fonts/Cache/0:). Or this happens when the X font server
is crashing during a run of font_cache, caused by some corrupted fonts.
