Incorrect handling of return in NSTextView

I seem to be in bug reporting mode tonight. :)

While testing Ink.app I noticed some odd behaviour.   After hitting return the
cursor does not advance to the next line until another character is struck. 
For example if I type "abcdefg" and hit "return" the cursor remains after the
"g" until I hit another alphnumeric character.
