Hi! group,
My problems with running gnustep gui apps continue.
I'm pretty sure that I've installed everything correctly (in
/opt/GNUstep). To build the backend I used the following:
./configure --enable-server=x11 --enable-graphics=art --with-name=art
and my defaults read: NSGlobalDomain GSBackend 'libgnustep-art.so'
Still when I run apps, I get the following error.
2002-09-07 12:40:31.664 hello[546] NSApplication.m:202 Assertion failed
in initialize_gnustep_backend. Can't load backend class
/root/code/objc/hello/hello.app/hello: Uncaught exception
NSInternalInconsistencyException, reason: NSApplication.m:202 Assertion
failed in initialize_gnustep_backend. Can't load backend class
I think there is a problem loading the bundles. eg: the nsbundle test
program in base/Testing fails to load as well ! (I did copy the
LoadMe.bundle to /opt/GNUstep/System/Library/Bundles )
With my college studies just completed, I thought I could spend some
time on GNUstep. So help me out folks.
TIA,
-Krish
