 I just found that Jabber can communicate with
 other IM systems through the server.
 Therefore, a Jabber messesger is enough.
 There is a simple one: Nitro
 (http://nitro.jabberstudio.org/).
 It uses acid (http://www.jabberstudio.org/projects/acid/project/view.php),
 which use expat for XML.
 Maybe it is a better start.

 PS. I do try to compile acid on GNUstep, but meet some problems.
     If anyone who are familiar with XML and network can port it to GNUstep
     using GSXML and base extensions,that would be great.
     And do GNUstep has objc_msgSend() or something equivalent ?
