Using

./configure --with-library-combo=apple-apple-apple

Shoudn't and doesn't change anything.
Has anybody tested Base on MOSX? Probably yes, so why doesn't it work at my place?

Probably no unfortunately.
I have base compiled on MacOS-X, but using the gnu compiler and runtime, not using the apple compiler/runtime. I think it's quite possible that nobody uses the apple compiler/runtime.
