More applications, new look.

Are you sure?

Well, I don't want to sound disencouraging, but IMHO, a developer doesn't really care how many other apps there are. (S)he needs a powerful, easy to handle API (which GNUstep already has), stability and a quick way to get started.

In the enterprise world, you don't care too much about the look of an app. Much more you care to get work done and how the final work looks/works/helps. I.e., an accurate, high resolution print is much more important than fancy animations while typing this document.

This all with as few headaches as possible, of course.

I have to agree with this. The last couple of months I converted a couple of people from MS Office to OpenOffice and to my surprise they stuck with OpenOffice because it had less features which made them (feel) more productive. They could find options easier and they could do with it what they wanted to do with it (mainly write documents).

It was a nice lesson for me. Keep It Simple Stupid seems to be a paradigm that is true, even for (l)users. An app should get the work done, nothing more.

So it is not about the look. It's about what you can do.

Another 2 cents.

Dennis
