Hello all,

as many of you might know already, today is Apple's WWDC and they didn't forget to give some hints/promises about the(ir) future of Objective-C. As far as I can see, this stuff will go to paying developers now and to the public in spring 2007. Dunno how much is in FSF's gcc already.

From <http://www.apple.com/macosx/leopard/xcode.html>:

Objective-C 2.0

[...]Enjoy modern garbage collection, syntax enhancements, runtime performance improvements, and 64-bit support. [...] it’s backwards compatible with existing Objective-C source.

Cheers,
Markus
