nope, they are totally different things:* Étoilé is a Desktop Environment based on GNUstep. so far not in stable state. see www.etoile-project.org * Camaelon is a theme engine. It is used by Étoilé and is hosted in their repository, but can also be used independently. see http://www.etoile-project.org/etoile/mediawiki/index.php?title=Camaelon * Cairo is a graphic library (http://www.cairographics.org/), which can be used by GNUstep for drawing. see http://wiki.gnustep.org/index.php/Backend (-- read also http://gnustep.made-it.com/BuildGuide/index.html and/or run ./configure --help in the back directory.)
