Could you clarify what you mean here?  MediaKit is currently used  
primarily (exclusively?) by Mélodie, but I'd be willing to incorporate  
any improvements to the API.  If you want to keep a file around and  
play it repeatedly, you should not use MKMediaPlayer directly, but  
instead use an MKMediaFile instance for each sound and a single  
MKSoundDevice for playing them.
