To a big extent, though, you *have* to admit that NeXT/Apple *does* cast 
a huge shadow, and it has only gotten bigger now that the iPhone has 
turned them into a juggernaut.  Rather than deny it, I think the GNUstep 
project should be capitalizing on it more.  For every good thing Apple 
gets a headline for, GNUstep should aim to be mentioned along side it.  
For every bad thing Apple does, GNUstep should aim to be mentioned as an 
alternative.  As far as I can tell, there is no leadership on such 
matters.
